Planning Permission

 

Flaunden lies in the green belt and new development is not allowed.

One area of agricultural land in the village near the Bricklayers arms pub has an Article 4 served on it which means the right of permitted development have been removed.

In simple terms an Article 4 means a ban on:

  • Creating a new vehicle access to a public road.
  • Fencing off a plot or any part of the land.
  • Creating hard standing for any purpose.
  • Or sitting a shed, caravan stable barn or any other building.
  • Any development of the land without permission from the borough council would be unlawful .
